Critique

Gordan Parks:
The similarity's of both these photo's is that there is people holding objects in their hands and their face expression make's them look unhappy.

What is different about this photo is that there is different setting , and that the woman is holding 2 different objects. Also, the photo is in black and white.

She's representing slavery and how slaves should have freedom because there's amercian's too.

Dorothea Lange:

I think that the store owner was trying to say that they want to be apart of america and be treated like american's.

Its similar because they wanted to be american's and be peaceful with each other.

Eugene Smith:
This shows that cole minning is hard work and it take's a lot of labor.

 I think it was posed because they dont seem like they like there job.

Mary Ellen Mark:

They look poor and unhappy by the look on their faces.
They look like their a couple by the way he's holding her but she look's like she's scared of him.
They kid's seem like there close because she's putting her hand on his face witch make's me think she's protecting him.

I don't think people are patriotic now because poeple and occupied with other thing's in life and we aren't as poor back then right now.
